Looks like Oracle has released the Apex 3.0 public beta. You can sign up here.
I created a quick report and then set it to export to PDF & Word - all of it worked as advertised! I was also able to quickly create a new Flash-based chart with little effort. Very impressive!

is the apexlib framework part of apex 3.0?
No, the ApexLib Framework is owned & maintained by Patrick Wolfe, and is not directly affiliated with Oracle.
Thanks,

great to read that you already want to have the ApexLib Framework deployed with APEX 3.0 :-)
BTW, did already some testing of the framework with the eval version of APEX 3.0 and everything works as expected.
Scott, thanks for the clarification!
Greetings
Patrick
PS: The Framework is OpenSource.
Someone mentions that you have demo on how to launch Apex application from Oracle EBS and by pass the login screen in Apex.
Do you have instruction on how to do it? Can I have it please? I try everything I found and it still stops at the Apex Login screen waiting for username and password.
Thank you very much in advance.
